From 29th March up to 1st of April was held the Seminar of CEPA (European Commitee Roller Skating) in Misano Adriatico Italy.

From 29th March up to 1st of April was held the Seminar of CEPA (European Commitee Roller Skating) in Misano Adriatico Italy.
 
The Seminar is held each two years and all the European Nation Federations need to send one judge in order to be represented during the International Competitions. The judge sent, has to prepare a document with all the subjects talked about to share with the colleagues of the nation he/she comes from. Even trainers are invited to come.
 
The items discussed in the 2007 edition have been various:
 
  • Figures – directly in the rink and with skaters:
    • Counter, Rocker, Paragraph Bracket, Paragraph Double Three.
    • Etc.
  • Free -            with DVDs:
    • Toe Loop: different kinds of take off to judge differently;
    • Salchow: different kinds of take off to judge differently;
    • Differences between Double Loop and Double Rittberger;
    • Lutz: the preparation in order to see a REAL Lutz;
    • Spins;
    • New Rules of the Short Programme;
    • Etc.
  • Pairs – with DVDs and the new rules:
    • Positions of the lifts;
    • Landing of the Lutz Twist;
    • Inside Death Spiral;
    • Spirals sequence;
    • Etc.
  • Dance – with DVDs and the new rules:
    • Competitions;
    • New rules;
    • Solo Dance;
    • Etc.
  • Show and Precision – with DVDs:
    • Level of steps difficulty in Precision;
    • The importance of transitions in Precision;
    • The importance of the title and its relationship with the content of a Show programme;
    • The importance of the skating technique in a Show programme;
    • Etc. 
  • Choreography:
    • Very interesting subject. Sandro Guerra (Artistic Skating Choreographer) was there for us with all sorts of DVDs and documents.
 
The seminar is a very important moment to share ideas, talking about national experiences, checking how to improve and make our sport better.
