You never forget the first time. So, for Italy or France, tomorrow can be the day to remember forever. They never won the gold medal in Senior Men World Championship. They both won silvers and bronzes several times. They wanted this final and deserved it. Today, Italians did the miracle, beating 3-2 the Czechs masters. France was perfect versus Canada (6-0). And now, for the first time ever, they will meet for the Holy Graal of hockey. Before that, another first time: Spain vs Usa in Senior Women. Usa, on the podium since the first edition, are looking for the seventh gold. Spain, who got three bronzes, is a debutant. It's Czech Republic-Canada for bronze, both Men and Women. Games will start at 1pm, men's final at 5.30pm: it's all live on www.rollergames.tv.

SENIOR MEN SEMIFINALS

Volare oh oh: Italians are on seventh heaven. Nobody thought they could win versus the Czechs. They did it playing their best game, taking no penalties, scoring on the rare opportunities and with an outstanding performance by goalie Facchinetti. Czechs got nervous minute after minute, surprised by the Azzurris nearly perfect defensive game. They scored first, with a low one-timer from the slot by Strycek. But Ferrari got the equalizer on a clever feed by Barsanti. In the second period, Barsanti scored, shooting a bouncing puck. Bernad capitalized a rare italian distraction, scoring on a two on one situation. With less than four minutes left, the young italian talent Vendrame beat Brabec with a glove side rocket. It's 3-2. “We did what our coach told us – said Barsanti – we played our game, simple and smart. Now we have another chance for gold. We are ready”.

Ready for France, which is now the favourite team, because they beat Italy 2-1 in the Pool, showing better skills. But they know that a final is unpredictable. They are playing great in Nanjing: they outplayed Canada in a semifinal that was close just for a period. Canada missed the chance to equalize, on a breakaway, after the first goal down. In the second period “Les Blues” were on fire, scoring 5 unanswered goals. And saving till the end their goalie De Preval shut-out: “Since three years – he said -we're always on podium, so this final is not a suprise. The team worked hard today to make my job easier. And they help me to get the shut-out, showing our team spirit. Now Italy: what a rivalry. They maybe aren't the best team in terms of quality, but they play with heart and deserve respect”.

SENIOR WOMEN SEMIFINALS

Can Usa score to Spain? That's a point for the upcoming Senior Women final, because spanish girls allowed just two goals in the tournament. And they did'nt allow goals in the last three games, included the one against Usa in the Pool (won 1-0). In the semifinal Spain played another solid game: “But we can score too – said goalie Sanvicens- we're playing at our best. Women hockey in Spain is growing, last year we won in Junior and now we want to repeat in Senior. We are a great group”

Usa won the North-American derby versus Canada. It's a typical run-and-gun hockey game, with tons of battles along the boards, high pace anche scoring chanches. All the goals came in the first period. Usa scored first, then Canada scored twice in less then a minute. Then Usa complete a comeback for the final 3-2 win. American numer 79 Era got an hat-trick: “Definitely a day to remember for me – she said – I haven't score on them in the last couple of years. And now one more step: I'm not surprised about Spain. They are a very good team”.
