The first ever FIRS Indoor World Cup was a tremendous success as skaters both USA and International converged upon Orlando, Florida March 16-19th, 2017.

Skaters from as far away as Australia and Brazil competed for 3 days of exciting indoor racing including 2 person and 3 person relays. Although the Cup race was for Junior World Class and Senior World Class, the promoters held races for all ages from Tiny Tot (6 and under) to Grand Esquire (over 65).
The highlight was the JR and SR World Class races as over 50 top skaters competed for newly set records as well as prestige of being the first ever FIRS Indoor World Cup Champion! Top titles going out to BONT skates Tanner Worley and Kelsey Helman for taking home the top honors!
The race a great success as the host Joe Hanna with Astro Skating Center and owner Chris Maganias showed great hospitality to all and committed to future races at least over the next 3 years!
Indoor Championship racing is on a rise and with the inclusion of FIRS we are soon to see a World Championship for Indoor promptly!
A bonus feature to the weekend was the announcement of the inclusion of inline speed skating in the 2018 Youth Olympics! Look for upcoming dates of the 2018 FIRS Indoor World Cup coming soon!
