From the 24th of September to the 1st of October, the city of Iquique (Chile) will be the capital of the female rink hockey. 13 national teams reached this city in the northern region of Chile to play the 13th edition of the Women's World Championship.

This morning Marathons concluded this fantastic edition of the FIRS World Roller Speed Skating Championships. A sunny morning sky was the perfect scenery of a great sports event that included the Men, Women and Under/Over Marathons.
Colombia leads the Medal list with 20 Gold medals out of 45, followed by France with 6 Golds and Italy with 5.

The adverse weather conditions affected this day of competitions too. In spite of the program, the race started at 12.00 PM with the 20,000 mt Elimination Senior Men. This game was followed by the Junior 1 Lap Circuit, from the 1/16 Series to the Final and by the Junior and Senior W/M 5.000 mt Relay, from the Series to the Final.

This day of the FIRS World Roller Speed Skating Championships 2016 was strongly affected by adverse weather conditions. The Series Circuit Lap Sprint Senior W/M, 20,000 m Elimination Junior W/M and 10,000m Points Senior W/M were held in the morning and they were followed by the Lap of Circuit Sprint Senior W/M Finals in order to avoid problems or delays due to bad weather. While in the afternoon the Finals of 20,000 m Elimination Junior W/M and 10,000 m Points Senior W/M took place as planned.

Today the competitions moved to the road circuit close to the Olympic Gymnasium and started in the early afternoon with the long distance races followed by the 100 mt sprint. All the four 100mt have been won by South American countries. Because of the weather conditions, the 20.000mt Elimination Senior Men did not take place and has been moved to Friday after the Relays.
