Today was the last day of competition for freestyle and it has been a great final day with an amazing show by Senior Men and Women in Battle and Free Jump. The day started with Battle for Senior Women. The finals were dominated by Europeans skaters, especially Russia. China is represented by Wang Ding Yu Xin only, while Russia has 2 skaters in the final and 2 skaters in the consolation final.

The closing event of the World Roller Games 2017 in the Speed discipline is the Marathon for Junior/Senior Ladies and Junior/Senior Men. The circuit was developed along a 10km lap, with very long flat straight and two U turns.

Today’s competitions started early with Pair Slalom, followed by Slides and Battle slalom Junior. China strikes again and wins the Pair Slalom final today. Ye Hao Qin and Zhang Hao’s winning run was fast, smooth and very technical. Few combos were missed but their speed and choreography were rewarded by judges and lead them to the first place.

For the first time ever, France is the world champion in Senior Men inline hockey. For the third time, Italy misses the last step and takes the silver medal. It was a great game in Nanjing, to end a spectacular tournament: the “Alps rivals” gave to the fans an emotional battle till the final desperate italian assault. France won 3-2: with 4 minutes to play, they scored twice in 31 seconds. That was the key moment. Former champions Czech Republic won the bronze medal (5-0 vs Canada). Usa women won their eighth gold medal: 1-0 vs Spain in the final game. Canada women took bronze (3-1 vs Czech Republic ). Photo Credits Marco Guariglia
