Signed the institutional agreement for the 2019 edition of the FIRS Roller Games in Barcellona

Today Sabatino Aracu, President of the FIRS (Fédération Internationale Roller Sports) and the institutional representatives of the municipality of Barcelona have signed the Ratification Protocol for the granting of the 2019 World Roller Games to the city of Barcelona in the Salón de Crónicas in the Town Hall of the city, also in the presence of Carmelo Paniagua Manso, President of the Real Federación Española de Patinaje.

It will therefore be the Catalan city the host of the second edition of the World Roller Games, two years after the first huge event that will envisage
in the city of Nanjing in 2017 the World Championships of all the roller disciplines.

Barcelona will count on the presence of more than 6,000 athletes coming from all around the World: 16 days of competition at the highest level, seminars, performances, exhibitions, a Roller Village that bring in the hosting city with the most youth-oriented and captivating sports of the moment. The FIRS has in fact under its aegis 10 roller disciplines: Artistic, Speed, Rink Hockey, Inline Hockey, Roller Freestyle, Skateboarding, Inline Alpine, Inline Downhill, Inline Aggressive and Roller Derby.

During the press conference that has followed the ceremony of the signing of the Protocol, President Aracu has expressed plenty of enthusiasm and satisfaction for both Roller Sports and for the city of Barcelona, that will surely host in 2019 a great and successful sporting event.

FIRS President, Sabatino Aracu commented: " Barcellona will be the perfect match for the 2019 edition of the FIRS Roller Games and I am confident it will be a great event!"
